March 4-5th Weekend News

This weekend, the AGH U14 Elite Team was at Spooky Nook for USA Field Hockey’s final National Indoor Tournament.  Additionally, all AGH Academy Teams competed in the Westport/Staples HS Indoor Tournament.

  • U14 Elite - Team AGH scored 43 goals in a highly competitive pool, going undefeated into the final match vs the number 2 ranked team in the country, Xcalibur. The energy level was high as the winner would take home the gold. Team AGH lost a courageous match vs Xcalibur conceding primarily on corners but more evenly matched game play with packed stands of spectators. We are proud of how the girls carried themselves the entire tournament on and off the court.

  • U10/U12 Academy, U14 Academy 1, U14 Academy 2, U16 Academy - Team AGH was well represented at the Westport/SHS Indoor Tournament.  U12 Academy played strong against primarily U14 teams and had 1 win, 1 loss and 1 tie going into the crossover vs AGH U14 Academy 2 in  tight game between them. U14 Academy 1 played strong in their pool as well. U16 Academy went undefeated in pool play in the afternoon and lost in the final, down a player the entire game. Well done girls.
